About the Position

Flawky Studios is seeking a visionary Music Composer to define the emotional soul of our unannounced Action-RPG.
We are building an “Indo-Gothic” world – a fusion of Dark Fantasy architecture and corrupted Indian aesthetics. We need a score that reflects this unique identity. You will be responsible for composing the original soundtrack (OST), from the haunting silence of exploration to the high-octane intensity of combat.
Note: You will collaborate closely with the Technical Sound Designer, who will handle the engine implementation. Your job is to provide the creative assets (Stems and Loops) that allow the system to breathe.

Key Responsibilities

1. Thematic Composition (Indo-Gothic Style)
 Main Themes: Compose the game’s core identity, blending traditional Dark Fantasy orchestration (Strings, Choirs) with unique textural elements (e.g., South Asian instrumentation, percussive rhythms) to match the game’s visual style.
 Leitmotifs: Create recurring melodic themes for key characters (Malachi) and the spreading “Corruption” that evolve throughout the story.

2. Dynamic / Adaptive Scoring
 Layered Composition: You cannot just write linear songs. You must compose tracks in Layers/Stems (Base, Tension, Action, Percussion).
 Looping: Create seamless loops for Exploration and Combat states that can cross-fade instantly without jarring transitions. The Technical Sound Designer will implement these, but you must structure the files to work dynamically.

3. Combat & Boss Themes
 High-Octane Action: Compose adrenaline-pumping tracks for combat encounters that emphasize the weight and speed of the gameplay.
 Boss Phases: Write multi-stage tracks for Boss fights that escalate in intensity as the Boss enters different phases.

4. Production & Mixing
 High Fidelity: Deliver broadcast-ready, mixed, and mastered audio files.
 Collaboration: Iterate on tracks based on gameplay footage and feedback from the Game Director.

Qualifications

 Portfolio: A strong link to SoundCloud, Spotify, or a Reel demonstrating Dark Fantasy / Action-RPG scoring.
 Genre Versatility: Ability to blend orchestral elements with unique, non-traditional instruments or synthesis to create an “otherworldly” sound.
 Technical Understanding: You understand how Adaptive Music works (Layers, Vertical Remixing, Horizontal Resequencing) even if you aren’t the one coding it into Unreal.
DAW Proficiency: Expert in Cubase, Logic Pro, FL Studio, or equivalent.

Compensation & Partnership

This position is structured as a high-stake partnership.
 Profit Sharing: You will be awarded a legally binding share of 3.0% of the Game’s Net Profit following commercial release.
 Creative Attribution: Under our Idea Attribution Program, you will be fully credited as the sole Composer of the OST. You retain the right to showcase the music in your personal portfolio.
